I was born and raised in Bangladesh, where I completed both my Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) and Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Printmaking from the University of Dhaka. Throughout my studies, I explored a range of printmaking techniques, including planography, relief, and intaglio. My master’s degree, however, was primarily focused on lithography, a medium that allowed me to delve into the exploration of depth, texture, and form.
To further develop my artistic practice, I am pursuing an additional Master of Fine Arts degree in Two-Dimensional Studies at Bowling Green State University, Ohio. Here, I am practicing mostly drawing, with an emphasis on capturing the intricate layers of human experience.
I use the human figure as a way to express life’s fleeting emotions and moments, highlighting the conflict that is part of our experiences. In addition, I explore the meaning of everyday objects, which represent different stages of my journey, reflecting both challenges and moments of joy. Drawing inspiration from surrealism, I aim to transform ordinary subjects into something extraordinary, encouraging viewers to reflect and think deeply.
My artistic journey is an exploration of the human experience, blending dreams, relationships, and personal experiences. Through my work, I aim to create a space where viewers can pause, reflect, and connect with their own Narratives, while considering the deeper forces that shape our existence.
